Hoyer Statement on the Congressional Progressive Caucus Elections

WASHINGTON, DC - House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement congratulating Congressman Mark Pocan on his election as Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus this afternoon:

“I join in congratulating Rep. Mark Pocan on his election as the new Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC). Rep. Pocan is an outstanding advocate for working men and women and a champion for human rights.  Under the leadership of Rep. Pocan and Co-Chair Raúl Grijalva, the CPC will continue to play a critical role in ensuring that Democrats in Congress stand up for working Americans and promote a progressive agenda aimed at reducing inequality and creating opportunities for everyone to reach for the American Dream.   I thank my friend Rep.
