Hoyer Statement on Attack in Copenhagen

WASHINGTON, DC – House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today in response to yesterday's attack in Copenhagen:

"I was appalled to learn of the attack yesterday in Copenhagen, and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. As the son of an immigrant from Copenhagen, I know well the indefatigable spirit of the Danish people in the face of adversity.  I join in reaffirming that the people of the United States stand together in solidarity with Danes against terrorism and in defense of the freedom of expression that is fundamental to our democracies."
