WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Hoyer released the following statement this afternoon on the status of Internet tax moratorium legislation:

“Tomorrow the House will bring the Senate version of H.R. 3678, the Internet Tax Freedom Act Amendments Act of 2007, to the Floor under suspension of the rules.  This bill extends the moratorium on taxing access to the Internet for seven years, the longest extension ever passed by Congress.  This is responsible legislation that puts an end to the pattern of short-term extensions passed by Republicans.”
