WASHINGTON, DC – Today, House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) announced the winners of the 2016 Member Online All-Star Competition subcategories for best video, best infographic, and best constituent services post that were selected by the public by total "Likes” on Whip Hoyer’s Facebook page. He also released a video highlighting creative content from the 2016 Member Online All-Star Competition, including the winning posts announced today.

"I'm pleased to announce this year's Online All-Stars subcategory winners, who produced both creative and informative videos, infographics, and photos," stated Whip Hoyer. "Over the three-week competition, House Democrats did an impressive job strengthening online communication with our constituents. I congratulate Representatives Mark Takano, Barbara Lee, Ami Bera, and Eddie Bernice Johnson on their use of innovative and engaging content that reached Americans across the country. I also join in thanking all of our Members for making this year's competition a success – collectively gaining nearly a quarter million new followers."

Best VideoRep. Mark Takano (CA-41) uses a "pop quiz" to attack the GOP's shameless "poverty plan" that doesn't help the poor.

Best Infographic Winner: Rep. Barbara Lee (CA-13) made a powerful graph to show the Republican-led House's priorities, which are political votes against the Affordable Care Act, clean air, and LGBTQ rights, all while doing nothing to prevent gun violence.

Top Constituent Services PostRep. Ami Bera (CA-7) uses a compelling nine page slide presentation to show the hard work he and his staff have done helping and communicating with his constituents.

Whip Hoyer previously announced that Rep. Barbara Lee (CA-13) earned the 2016 overall MVP award, Rep. Ted Lieu (CA-33) earned the Freshman MVP award, and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) won the Election-Blackout MVP. He also announced that Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson won the award for most viral content.

Other Members featured in the video released today include Reps. Mike Quigley, Eric Swalwell, Keith Ellison, Brad Ashford, Brendan Boyle, Mark Pocan, Debbie Dingell, Luis Gutiérrez, and Financial Services Committee Democrats
