At approximately 6:30 p.m., the House will take the following votes on amendments to Division E (Transportation and Housing and Urban Development) to H.R. 3055 – Commerce, Justice, Science, Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, Interior, Environment, Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act, 2020:
- DeFazio Amendment #233 – Prohibits the of the Department of Transportation from using any funds to authorize the transportation of liquefied natural gas by rail tank car by proposing and finalizing a rulemaking or issuing special permits – 15 minutes
- Duncan Amendment #234 – Strikes section 236 which prohibits funds from being used to implement, administer, or enforce the HUD “Equal Access in Accordance With an Individual’s Gender Identity in Community Planning and Development Programs” and the “Equal Access to Housing in HUD Programs Regardless of Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity” rules – 2 minutes
- Duncan Amendment #235 – Strikes section 237 which gives the HUD notice “Appropriate Placement for Transgender Persons in Single-Sex Emergency Shelters and Other Facilities” the force and effect of law – 2 minutes
- Grothman Amendment #244 – Reduces funds made available to Division E (Transportation and Housing and Urban Development) by 4.6 percent – 2 minutes
