LEADER'S FLOOR UPDATE
At approximately 4:20 – 4:25 p.m., the House will take the following votes on H.R. 2062:
**Members are advised that each vote taken by the House will now be open for a total of 20 minutes and will close immediately thereafter. Voting groups will no longer be implemented. Members will be provided 20 minutes for each vote to assure that Members casting proxy votes have sufficient time to cast those votes, and votes will be closed at the termination of 20 minutes. Members, especially Members casting proxy votes on behalf of other Members, are expected to vote in a timely manner.
At approximately 4:20 – 4:25 p.m., the House will take the following votes on H.R. 2062:
- Democratic En Bloc #1 Offered by Mr. Scott (VA) (Brown Amendment and Williams (GA) Amendment) – 20 minutes
- Republican En Bloc #2 Offered by Mr. Scott (VA) (Allen Amendment and Foxx Amendment) – 20 minutes
- (IF REQUESTED) Rodney Davis/Pingree Amendment – Requires the Secretary of the Department of Labor and the Chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to conduct a study to determine the number of older adult women who may have been adversely impacted by age discrimination as a motivating factor in workplace discrimination or employment. Requires the report to be submitted to Congress and made publicly available within one year and would require a recommendation on best practices to combat gender and age discrimination in the workplace – 20 minutes
- Final Passage of H.R. 2062 – Protecting Older Workers Against Discrimination Act of 2021 (Rep. Scott (VA) – Education and Labor) – VOTE YES – 20 minutes
