July 24, 2020
The House is now taking the following vote on H.R. 7608 – State, Foreign Operations, Agriculture, Rural Development, Interior, Environment, Military Construction, and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act, 2021, beginning with Group 1 (Rep. Abraham to Rep. Cohen):
- Tonko/Blunt Rochester Amendment – Prohibits funds from being used by the EPA to finalize, implement, or enforce the proposed rule, ‘‘Review of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Particulate Matter’’ published in the Federal Register by the Environmental Protection Agency on April 30, 2020 (85 Fed. Reg. 24094 et seq.), which fails to protect, within an adequate margin of safety, communities of color from harmful air pollution during a global public health pandemic, where those communities are experiencing a disproportionately high death rate made worse by decades of exposure to toxic pollution – Minimum of 5 Minutes
Following this vote, the House will take the following vote on Division C (Interior), by groups:
Following debate, the House will vote on the motion to recommit. After the vote on the motion to recommit, the House will vote on final passage of H.R. 7608. These will be the last votes for the week.
