FLOOR UPDATE – 1 VOTE

FLOOR UPDATE:

The House is now taking the following vote on H.R. 6395 – National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2021, beginning with Group 1 (Rep. Abraham to Rep. Cohen):
      1. Dean Amendment – Provides up to $10,000 in immediate assistance to pay down the balance of private student loans. Furthermore, when borrower payments resume, the servicer would have to modify the loan to lower the monthly payment by re-amortizing the loan and/or lowering the interest rate – Minimum of 5 Minutes
      **For the health of all Members and staff and to limit the number of people on the House Floor, Members are asked to come to the Floor only during their voting group's window and are encouraged to exit the House Floor immediately after voting.  As occupancy on the House Floor will be limited to facilitate social distancing, Members are advised that the House Gallery will be open and available to use during the vote series. 

      Following this vote, House will take the following vote, by groups:
      1. Takano Amendment
      Following votes on amendments to H.R. 6395, the House will debate the motion to recommit to H.R. 6395.

      After debate, the House will vote on the motion to recommit.  Following the vote on the motion to recommit, the House will vote on final passage of H.R. 6395.  These will be the last votes for the day.
