FLOOR UPDATE:
July 1, 2020
The House is now taking the following vote on H.R. 2 – Moving Forward Act, beginning with Group 1 (Rep. Abraham to Rep. Cohen):
- Tlaib Amendment – Adds $4.5 billion per fiscal year for 5 years for comprehensive lead service line replacement projects. Covers replacement costs for full service lines. Priority will be given to entities serving disadvantaged communities and environmental justice communities (with significant representation of communities of color, low-income communities, or Tribal and indigenous communities, that experience, or are at risk of experiencing, higher or more adverse human health or environmental effects) – Minimum of 5 Minutes
During the vote series, the Majority Whip's office will notify Members when each group should proceed to the Floor to vote.
All Members will have a minimum of 5 minutes to vote when their group is called to the Floor. Members will be given notice from the Whip's office during the vote series when their group should come to the Floor for votes.
**For the health of all Members and staff and to limit the number of people on the House Floor, Members are asked to come to the Floor only during their voting group's window and are encouraged to exit the House Floor immediately after voting. As occupancy on the House Floor will be limited to facilitate social distancing, Members are advised that the House Gallery will be open and available to use during the vote series.
Following the vote on the Tlaib Amendment to H.R. 2, the House will debate the Republican motion to recommit.
After debate on the motion to recommit, the House will vote on the motion to recommit on H.R. 2.
Following the vote on the motion to recommit, the House will vote on final passage of H.R. 2.
