FLOOR UPDATE – 1 VOTE

FLOOR UPDATE:

The House is now taking the following vote on H.R. 2 – Moving Forward Act, beginning with Group 1 (Rep. Abraham to Rep. Cohen):
    1. En Bloc #1 in Part B Offered by Mr. DeFazio – Provides for consideration of 45 amendments en bloc, including amendments to: strengthen data collected by States under the racial profiling grant program; improve the use of grant funds for education and enforcement activities regarding bicyclist and pedestrian safety; add charging speed and minimization of future upgrade costs as considerations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure grants; include environmental and environmental justice organizations on the list of relevant stakeholders and  consider plans for renewable or zero-emission energy sources for charging and fueling infrastructure when making grant award selections under the program; require the Department of Transportation to consult with the Environmental Protection Agency on the awarding of Community Climate Innovation Grants and ensure public comment in the determination of the types of projects that most significantly reduce carbon pollution; add additional environmental considerations to the goals of the National Highway Freight Program, ensuring that the impacts of railway-highway bottlenecks are considered under the program; expand the role of HBCUs and other minority-serving institutions in DOT research; authorize new research programs and reviews to expand transportation access for low-income, minority, and other underserved communities; ensure that projects submitted to the FTA Capital Investment Grants program can use ridership data collected before the COVID-19 outbreak and projections based on that data, if requested; and ensure that the national surface transportation system funding pilot promotes personal privacy for participants – Minimum of 5 Minutes
    **For the health of all Members and staff and to limit the number of people on the House Floor, Members are asked to come to the Floor only during their voting group's window and are encouraged to exit the House Floor immediately after voting.  As occupancy on the House Floor will be limited to facilitate social distancing, Members are advised that the House Gallery will be open and available to use during the vote series. 

    During the vote series, the Majority Whip's office will notify Members when each group should proceed to the Floor to vote.

    After the vote on En Bloc #1 in Part B to H.R. 2, the House will vote on En Bloc #3 in Part D to H.R. 2.  This will be the last vote of the day.
