FLOOR UPDATE:
June 26, 2020
At approximately 12:45 - 12:50 p.m., the House will take the following vote, beginning with Group 1 (Rep. Abraham to Rep. Cohen):
- Passage of H.J.Res. 76, the Objections of the President to the Contrary Notwithstanding (Veto Override) – Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Education relating to "Borrower Defense Institutional Accountability" (Rep. Lee (NV) – Education and Labor) – VOTE YES – Minimum of 5 Minutes
During the vote series, the Majority Whip's office will notify Members when each group should proceed to the Floor to vote.
All Members will have a minimum of 5 minutes to vote when their group is called to the Floor. Members will be given notice from the Whip's office during the vote series when their group should come to the Floor for votes.
Group 1: Rep. Abraham to Rep. Cohen (5 minutes)
Group 2: Rep. Cole to Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (5 minutes)
Group 3: Rep. Gooden to Rep. Lamb (5 minutes)
Group 4: Rep. Lamborn to Rep. Palazzo (5 minutes)
Group 5: Rep. Pallone to Rep. Smucker (5 minutes)
Group 6: Rep. Soto to Rep. Zeldin (5 minutes)
Group 7: Additional time, if needed (5 minutes)
Following the vote on the Veto Message, the House will vote on the motion to recommit on H.R. 51. After the vote on the motion to recommit, the House will vote on passage of H.R. 51. These will be the last votes of the week.
