FLOOR SCHEDULE UPDATE FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 18, 2019

FLOOR UPDATE:
November 15, 2019
Schedule for the Week of November 18, 2019
as announced by Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer

"On Monday, the House will meet at 12:00 p.m. for Morning Hour debate and 2:00 p.m. for legislative business, with votes postponed until 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the House will meet at 10:00 a.m. for Morning Hour debate and 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.

On Thursday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business.  Last votes of the week are expected no later than 3:00 p.m.

We will consider several bills under Suspension of the Rules, including H.R. 4634 – Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act.  The complete list of suspension bills will be announced by the close of business today.

The House will consider a Continuing Resolution through December 20 to keep government open and operating on behalf of the American people.  It is deeply disappointing that the Senate failed to complete their work on appropriations, forcing consideration of another continuing resolution.  Rather than kick the can further down the road, this time must be used to work toward an agreement on 302(b) allocations, which will allow both the House and Senate to move appropriations bills that are in line with the bipartisan budget caps agreement.

Lastly, the House will consider H.R. 1309 – Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act.  This bipartisan bill directs the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to issue a standard requiring health care and social service employers to write and implement a workplace violence prevention plan to prevent and protect employees from violent incidents at work."
