FLOOR SCHEDULE UPDATE FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 7, 2020
FLOOR UPDATE:
"On Monday, the House will meet at 12:00 p.m. for legislative business. Members are advised that first votes of the week are expected as early as 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the House will meet at 10:00 a.m. for Morning Hour debate and 12:00 p.m. for legislative business.
On Thursday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business.
Members are advised that as we reach the end of the session, the Floor schedule could be very fluid. Members are urged to keep their schedules flexible during the coming weeks.
We will consider several bills under suspension of the Rules. The complete list of suspension bills will be announced by the close of business today.
The House will also consider the FY21 NDAA Conference Report. I am pleased that we have reached a bipartisan, bicameral agreement on the NDAA Conference Report, and look forward to it overwhelmingly passing both chambers.
As Members know, the current Continuing Resolution expires on December 11th. The Committee on Appropriations is hard at work on an Omnibus measure to fund the government; as soon as agreement is reached, I will bring that legislation to the Floor.
The House may also consider additional legislation to address the Coronavirus pandemic. While the House passed the Heroes Act in May and the Updated Heroes Act in October, Senate Republicans have failed to act. The American people need action now, and the House stands ready to act next week. I’m pleased that Speaker Pelosi and Leader McConnell spoke yesterday about completing work on an omnibus and a COVID relief bill as soon as possible.
Lastly, additional legislative items are possible."
