The House has completed debate on the three joint resolutions for congressional disapproval – S.J.Res. 36, S.J.Res. 37, and S.J.Res. 38.
The House has now begun one hour of debate on H.Res. 497 – Resolution Recommending that the House of Representatives find William P. Barr, Attorney General of the United States, and Wilbur L. Ross, Jr., Secretary of Commerce, in Contempt of Congress for Refusal to Comply with Subpoenas Duly Issued by the Committee on Oversight and Reform.
After debate on the Contempt Resolution, the House will consider eight bills under suspension of the Rules.
Following suspension debate, the House will take votes. These will be the last votes of the day.
Next/Last votes predicted: at approximately 5:00 – 5:30 p.m., on the Rule for H.R. 582; passage of S.J.Res. 36; passage of S.J.Res. 37; passage of S.J.Res. 38; adoption of H.Res. 497; amendments and final passage of H.R. 3494 – Damon Paul Nelson and Matthew Young Pollard Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020; and suspensions.
