**Following one minute speeches, the House is expected to recess until approximately 3:30 p.m.  At that time, the House will reconvene and consider the bills listed for consideration under suspension of the Rules. Any recorded votes requested will be postponed until 6:30 p.m.

TOMORROW’S OUTLOOK

The GOP Leadership has announced the following schedule for Wednesday, April 25: On Wednesday, the House will meet at 9:00 a.m. and recess immediately.  The House will reconvene at approximately 10:30 a.m. for the purpose of receiving, in a Joint Meeting with the Senate, His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France.  Members are advised to be on the House Floor and seated no later than 10:05 a.m. for the Joint Meeting.

The House is expected to consider H.R. 3144– To provide for operations of the Federal Columbia River Power System pursuant to a certain operation plan for a specified period of time, and for other purposes (Rep. McMorris Rodgers – Natural Resources) (Subject to a Rule).  The House is also expected to begin consideration of H.R. 4– FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 (Rep. Shuster – Transportation and Infrastructure) (Subject to a Rule). Lastly, the House will consider H.R. 5447 – Music Modernization Act, as amended (Rep. Goodlatte – Judiciary) – under suspension of the Rules.

“Much of the tax benefit from the new tax law's deduction for pass-through businesses will go to wealthy individuals, according to a Joint Committee on Taxation report released Monday. About 44 percent of the tax benefit from the deduction will go to those with an income of $1 million or more in 2018, and 52.4 percent of the benefit will go to those with income in that range in 2024, the congressional tax scorekeeper estimated.”
