THE PRESIDENT SPEAKS ON HEALTH REFORM in PENNSYLVANIA This morning the President spoke at Arcadia University on health insurance reform. With several Members of the Pennsylvania delegation in attendance, the President spoke about a single mother who wrote the President after receiving notice that her health premium would more than double this year. The President talked about passing health insurance reform because it’s the right thing to do for Americans and small businesses. The President posed the questions “How much higher do premiums have to rise until we do something about it? How many more Americans have to lose their health insurance? How many more businesses have to drop coverage? How many more years can the federal budget handle the crushing costs of Medicare and Medicaid?” Read the transcript of the President’s speech.
