Conservative Resigns from Freedom Caucus Over #GOPShutdown

The extreme wing of the Republican Party is once again holding the government hostage to their demands – this time, over defunding Planned Parenthood. We aren’t the only ones who disagree with their effort. Senate Majority Leader McConnell has called the threat an “exercise in futility.” And just now, Rep. Tom McClintock – one of the most conservative Members of the House with a 100% rating from Club for Growth last year – resigned from the House Freedom Caucus (the group primarily behind this shutdown push) over their senseless strategy.
